IP crime investigations fall under the competence of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NTCA). Investigations are region-based and handled by regional offices of the NTCA.

There are no units specialised in investigating IP crimes in the NTCA.

Prosecution

The prosecution of IP crimes falls under the competence of the Public Prosecution Service.

There is no unit specialised in prosecuting IP crimes.

Judiciary

There are no courts specialised in IP crimes. This type of crime falls under the general court system.

The general courts are organised in a four-tier system:

  • District Courts;
  • Administrative and labour courts;
  • Regional Courts of Appeal; and
  • The Curia.
