Eurojust cooperates closely with a number of international organisations involved in the investigation and prosecution of serious cross-border crime.
The Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (OTP-ICC) is one of Eurojust’s most important partners, as cooperation focuses on operational matters falling under the remit of the Court. A memorandum of understanding between Eurojust and the OTP-ICC was signed in 2007.
Eurojust also cooperates and coordinates outreach activities with international organisations that pursue similar goals, notably the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), with which it signed a memorandum of understanding in 2010.
In recent years, Eurojust has established relations with judicial networks and associations in other regions of the world, in particular the Ibero-American Network for International Legal Cooperation (IberRed), the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors (AIAMP), the West African Network of Central Authorities and Prosecutors (WACAP), the Judicial Cooperation Network for Central Asia and Southern Caucasus (CASC) and the South East Asia Justice Network (SEAJust). Judicial networks and associations serve as gateways to their member countries and ensure faster contacts between authorities in the EU and other parts of the world.
