Eurojust and Montenegro signed a Cooperation Agreement in May 2016, with the first Liaison Prosecutor Jelena Ɖaletić taking up her duties in December 2017.

In 2024, the Montenegrin Liaison Prosecutor was involved in 27 new cases, and 1 coordination meeting.

Liaison Prosecutor

Jelena Ðaletić was appointed Liaison Prosecutor for Montenegro at Eurojust in December 2017. Ms Đaletić has been a Prosecutor at the High State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica since 2015, after serving as Secretary since 2014. She formerly worked as a legal advisor at the High State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica and at the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office, Department for the Suppression of Organised Crime, Corruption, Terrorism and War Crimes, also in Podgorica. She was appointed as a state prosecutor at the Supreme State Prosecution Office in October 2019. Ms Đaletić studied law at the University of Podgorica and completed post-graduate studies in European law organised by the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade in cooperation with the University of Nancy, France.
