The Portuguese Desk is headed by José Luis Ferreira Trindade, who is the National Member for Portugal since October 2023.

In 2023, the Portuguese Desk was involved in 337 new cases, 32 coordination meetings, 2 coordination centres, and 7 joint investigation teams.

National Member

Mr José Luis Ferreira Trindade

National Member

Mr José Luis Ferreira Trindade has been appointed Eurojust National Member for Portugal as of 8 November 2023.


Deputy National Member

Mr Ramiro Santos was appointed Deputy National Member for Portugal in July 2024. He started his career as a prosecutor in 1988 and did most of his career in the North of Portugal, where he dealt with all crime types, both in prosecution and trial stages. He also worked with civil and family and youth cases.

In 2014, he was promoted and appointed to the Prosecution Service in Braga, where he handled investigations of white-collar crimes and started to work on international judicial cooperation matters.
