Francesco Lo Voi, Eurojust’s Contact Point for Child Protection, will attend the official launch of the New European Financial Coalition against Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children Online (EFC) in Brussels on 26 November.
The official launch event will take place at the Brussels Press Club Europe, Rue Froissart 95, and will begin with a press conference from 10:45 – 12:00, followed by a meeting of the Steering Group, of which Mr Lo Voi, as Contact Point for Child Protection, is a member.
The keynote speech will be delivered by Cecilia Malmström, EU Home Affairs Commissioner. Presentations will be given by Rob Wainwright, Director of Europol, Stanley Skoglund, SVO Payment System & Enterprise Risk, Visa Europe, and Sir Francis Jacobs, President of Missing Children Europe and Head of the EFC Secretariat.
The EFC was established in 2009 to combat commercial child abuse websites by joining together law enforcement, private sector and civil society. Due to the evolution of the phenomenon, the New European Financial Coalition was formed.
