EU’s internal security: Eurojust’s role in the European Agenda on Security

The European Commission Work Programme for 2015 has just been published, announcing that the focus will be on the ten priorities of President Juncker's Political Guidelines.

The Political Guidelines are wide-ranging, however, also impacting on Eurojust, the Work Programme states that: ‘The Commission will table a European Agenda on Security to address threats to the EU's internal security such as cross-border crime, cybercrime, terrorism, foreign fighters and radicalisation to help the EU to protect its citizens while remaining open to the world.’ Eurojust is very pleased to take note of President’s Juncker’s commitment to addressing these threats and looks forward to working with him and his team over the coming years.
