Eurojust’s External Relations Team hosted a visit from the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) on 15 and 16 December.
The visit was hosted by Ms Malči Gabrijelčič – National Member for Slovenia, Mr Lukáš Starý – National Member for the Czech Republic, and Mr Jiménez-Villarejo – Vice-President of Eurojust and National Member for Spain. The FIIAPP delegation consisted of 13 Judges and Prosecutors who were introduced to Eurojust’s capacities and good practices related to the efficiency of the authorities in investigating serious cross-border organized crime.
One of the main projects managed by the Justice and Home Affairs Department of FIIAPP is the AMERIPOL-EU Project, which is part of the Cocaine Route Program funded by the EC Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace. The overall objective of this project is to enhance the capacity for international cooperation of law enforcement, judicial and prosecuting authorities of the partner countries in tackling transnational organised crime networks. The main beneficiary countries are Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru and Panama.

The FIIAPP is a Spanish public international cooperation entity whose objectives are to improve the institutional framework in the countries where it operates and to enhance the image of Spain and Europe abroad.
