CHEMI, the Centre des Hautes Etudes du Ministère de l’Intérieur, visited Eurojust yesterday (8 October) as part of its 2014 ‘Eurotour’.
The delegation, led by Préfet Mr Claude Balland, consisted of 18 auditors, all of whom are high-ranking officers from the French army and the French police, as well as two officers from third States (Albania and Algeria), were given an overview of the work of Eurojust.
The visitors were also provided with insights into how the proposed European Public Prosecutor’s Office, which, according to the Treaty of Lisbon, is to be established ‘from Eurojust’, may function. The end of the meeting was marked by a frank and open discussion.
