On 21 and 22 September 2023, a Workshop on international cooperation provisions of the Second Additional Protocol to the Budapest Convention (Art. 9-10), organised jointly by Eurojust and the Council of Europe, was held at Eurojust’s premises and online.
This event aimed to address the new procedures enhancing international cooperation between authorities for the disclosure of stored computer data included in the Second Additional Protocol. Discussions focused mainly on expedited disclosure of stored computer data in an emergency (Art. 9), as well as emergency mutual assistance (Art. 10), including the enhanced role of 24/7 Points of Contact established under the Budapest Convention.
