In September 2011, at the initiative of the Contact Point for Child Protection, Eurojust held a tactical meeting on travelling child sex offenders. The goals of the meeting were to identify the most common challenges faced in judicial cooperation in the fight against travelling child sex offenders, and to suggest possible solutions. A wide range of judicial cooperation issues (regarding the exchange of information, coordination of investigations and prosecutions, resolution of conflicts of jurisdiction, relations with third States and relations with NGOs, etc.) were considered. The main outcomes of the tactical meeting are summarized in the report below.
